Return Policy
Flint Hills Metal Detectors, LLC (FHMD) has set these terms and conditions for all transactions throughout this website, www.flinthillsmetaldetectors.com, and our web store for all our current and future customers as to our shipping and returns policy.
If you have a defective product, please contact us within 7 days of receipt of the item at 785-366-0397. After 7 days, it is required that you contact the manufacturer directly for return of the defective merchandise. Once 14 days has elapsed from receipt of product, you are no longer eligible for return or exchange through FHMD. The time frame of this policy is in place to expedite the users inspection or use of each product purchased without delay and/or to gain full access to manufacturers warrantied product benefits.
Please contact FHMD to receive a RETURN AUTHORIZATION number prior to shipping, as no returns will be accepted without the return authorization (R.A.) number.
Return shipping with adequate insurance is your responsibility. FHMD can not guarantee we will receive your returned item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. A 20% restocking fee applies if the original shipment is refused by the purchaser or if the product is returned for exchange for any reason other than a processing error by FHMD. You are responsible for the Return shipping costs.

As FHMD is not responsible for damage or loss during shipping, please contact the shipping company directly if the package appears to be damaged upon receipt or you do not receive the product. Please include photos of the damaged package as part of your information.
Without exception, all returned items must be in new and unused condition as received, i the original packaging, including all accompanying manuals and documentation, and all accessories if the package was a special bundle package. Your return is acceptable only with your receipt or proof of purchase.
Most "hobby" detectors are eligible for returns and exchanges. However, several types of detectors are exempt from being returned including, but not limited to: Garrett ATX; Minelab GPX Models & GPZ 7000 models, closeout, consignment, demo, discounted, refurbished, Sale items, used, and Water Detector models.
When your return is received, we will inspect it and notify you if the product is acceptable or rejected for return. If acceptable, a refund will be made via credit to the same account as the original purchase as was processed.

Shipping Policy
New items are sold brand new and directly as we receive them from authorized distributors through which we purchase product. All products we sell are subject to shipping and handling charges, unless a "Special" discount is applicable. UPS, USPS or FEDX delivery carries are utilized at our discretion or purpose.
Insurance when applicable and delivery confirmation are provided for products shipped.
Expedited shipping options are available at the consumer's choice and expense. You must contact FHMD to set up the necessary arrangements on such expedited shipping methods.
We strive to ship orders received before 3 pm on the same business weekday, excluding holidays. Please allow 2-7 business days for delivery.
Please note: Orders drop shipped from one of our distributors could have a different delivery schedule.
Purchases made via credit card or PayPal will be shipped to the "Billing Address" connected with the credit card the order is processed through on our website. If you want to use an alternate shipping address, please contact us by phone during regular business hours to establish an alternate payment option.
